Muscat – Heavy to moderate rains lashed several governorates in the past two days, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Data collected from the rain monitoring stations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR), show that Liwa recorded 61mm rainfall from Saturday to Sunday.

Khaboura received 42mm of rainfall, Al Awabi 18mm, Dama wa Tayeen 16mm, Quriyat 10mm, Amerat 9mm, 6mm each in Bahla and Sur, Barka 3mm, Sohar 2mm and Al Hamra 1mm.

Meanwhile, rescue teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority in Muscat governorate on Sunday, responded to a rockslide incident on the Amerat-Quriyat road, with reports of a few vehicles getting affected, without any injuries.
