Muscat – Kashyap Prajapati scored a double century as Muscat CT defeated Oman Stallions by 186 runs to march into the final of the Oman Cricket Super League powered by Muscat Pharmacy.
Prajapati’s 204 runs of 147 balls with 21 fours and 6 sixes helped Muscat CT make 333/5 in 50 overs. Prajapati was well supported by Ayaan Khan (49 of 58).
In reply, Oman Stallions’ innings ended at 147 in 44.4 overs with Ayaan Khan taking three wickets for 13 runs. Samay Shrivastav and Sandeep Goud picked two wickets each as Muscat CT registered their fifth victory in the Super League in six games.
Muscat CT will take on Oman Stallions again in the final on Monday with the match starting at 9.15 am.
In another match, Yalla Shabab edged Renaissance by three runs.
Yalla Shabab made 182 in 38.3 overs with fine contributions from Imran Alam (32 of 51) and Khalid Kail (31 of 25).
Nadeem Khan was the pick of Renaissance bowling with 4/40 and he was well supported by Imran Ali (2/22) and Bilal Mohammed (2/35).
In response, Renaissance were cruising at one stage before losing wickets in clusters. Nadeem Khan’s effort (54 of 83) took the close but they were all out for 179/10 in 49 overs courtesy of brilliant spells from Mohammed Nadeem 4/37 and Hassnain Ali Shah 4/37.
Yalla Shabab take on Renaissance in the third-place playoff on Tuesday.
