Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will preside over the official opening of Oman Across Ages Museum in the wilayat of Manah in Dakhliyah on March 13.
The museum chronicles different historical eras, geological transitions and showcases life of the early inhabitants of the sultanate, besides portraying the blessed Age of the Renaissance and accomplishments made in different sectors. It also explores the future of the country in a manner that reflects the people’s aspirations.
Oman Across Ages Museum focuses on a narrative, audio-video interactive style that utilises the latest technologies in this field. The aim is to present an enjoyable and educational experience to inform and entertain the museum’s visitors. The museum houses a range of facilities designed to enrich visitors’ knowledge and serve society.
The museum was established under the Royal Orders of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who laid the foundation stone of the project on July 14, 2015. The museum has been accorded great attention by His Majesty Sultan Haitham so that it serves as an epitome of Omani culture.
