Muscat – Vanderlande defeated Manis CT by 15 runs in their final match to emerge as the champions of Oman Cricket B Division League powered by Al Ansari Group of Companies.

It was Vanderlande’s sixth victory in seven games and it confirmed their berth in the A Division next season.

Put in to bat, Vanderlande were all out for 176 in 25.1 overs. Vinayagam Barathwaj (27 of 24; 4×4) , Aravindh Ramesh (38 of 22; 7×4) and Aiyappan B (38 of 26; 5×4) were the main run-getters for Vanderlande.

Aneek Chakraborty (4/23) , Rana Zeeshan (2/34) and Adnan Ul Haq (2/39) were the key wicket takers for Manis.

In response, Manis CT started off well in but despite Adnan Ul Haq’s fine innings (71 of 68; 7×4) their chase ended at 161 in 29.3 overs.

Ajazmiya Shaikh (5/20) and Vinayagam B (2/16) were the key wicket-takers for Vanderlande ensuring victory to them.

Vanderlande cricket team manager Ronald Singh said, “It was an exemplary season for us winning six out of seven games in the B Division. We had a clear mindset and executed our plans well. Credit to the boys and the Vanderlande Industries Management for supporting us all through the years when we started from H Division and coming through the ranks.
