Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience to the chairman and members of the Office of the State Council at Al Barakah Palace on Monday.
At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan gave thanks and praise to the Almighty Allah for the bounties He granted Oman and the divine riches showered on the benign homeland.
His Majesty the Sultan also expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for the accomplishments and progress that cover all aspects of life, heralding a brighter future for the dear nation. He prayed to the Almighty to bless Oman and its people with everlasting bounties and success.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan touched on Oman’s future strategies and its policies aimed at continuing the march of comprehensive development, progress and prosperity. He spoke on a range of topics and issues of importance to the nation and citizens.
His Majesty the Sultan underscored the significance of the current stage which, he affirmed, requires exerting intensive efforts and giving priority to the country’s supreme interest, notably to preserve the progress of the development march, its gains and achievements. This, His Majesty the Sultan said, will contribute to supporting the government’s efforts in implementing the pre-set plans and programmes and expediting the comprehensive development march.
His Majesty the Sultan commended the tasks and studies undertaken by the State Council to research issues of concern to the nation and the citizens. He laid emphasis on conducting such tasks and studies focused on anticipating the future, engaging in judicious planning and exploring ideas that contribute to the efforts exerted by the government.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan underlined the importance of consolidating the ongoing partnership between the Council of Ministers and the State Council in a manner that serves the public interest. He wished all success in achieving further growth and prosperity in Oman.
