Muscat – A total of 125 candidates, including 116 Omanis and nine expatriates, are in the fray for the Board of Directors of OCCI and BoD of OCCI branches. The elections are scheduled for November 22.

The elections have witnessed an enthusiastic response in all 11 governorates. A total of 27 candidates are in fray for the five seats in Muscat governorate. The ten remaining governorates will each send a board member to OCCI. There are 11 candidates in contention in Dhofar, followed by ten each in South Sharqiyah and North Batinah.

There are nine candidates in South Batinah, eight candidates each in North Sharqiyah, Buraimi and Dhahirah, seven candidates in Musandam and six each in Dakhliyah and Wusta.
