Muscat – Seeb Club wrote history by thrashing Kuala Lumpur City 3-0 and winning the final of the 2022 AFC Cup on Saturday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is the first time that an Omani club has won a continental tournament.

Seeb Club scored the opening goal with Ali al Busaidi’s curling corner kick straight into Kevin Mendoza’s net in the 22nd minute, followed by Abdulaziz al Muqbali’s header in the 37th minute. Muhsen al Ghassani all but closed the door for Kuala Lumpur City with the third goal in the 69th minute of the game.
