Muscat – In its efforts to humanise cities and implement service projects that meet the standards of modern urban cities, Muscat Municipality has started work on the Al Nahdha walkway in the wilayat of Amerat.
The project includes a 1,200m walkway and a bicycle track. The 5m wide walkway and 3m wide bicycle track will be separated by 2m of landscaping. Lit by 70 lighting poles, the project will also include sites designated for mobile vendors and paved parking lots.
‘The project is an attempt to exploit public spaces with development projects that promote sports and physical health, and to beautify the area,’ the municipality stated.
The project is the third walkway in Amerat, after the Al Muhajj and Linear Park walkways.
