Muscat – The Environment Authority (EA) in the Governorate of Dhofar has issued violation notices against a group of companies for flouting environmental requirements.

In a statement, EA said, ‘Within the framework of supervision and field inspection of private sector companies to monitor their compliance with environmental requirements, the Directorate General of Environment in Dhofar has issued a number of seizure orders against a group of companies.’

It added that the companies in question were asked to amend their operations.
