Muscat – The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) received the third batch of entrepreneurs for the Jahiziah programme in Muscat on Monday to meet its strategic goal of supporting SMEs.
An official of ASMED informed that more than 20 trainees participated in the programme, which is aimed at imparting the basics of entrepreneurship and develop the capabilities of participants to launch their own projects.
“The programme targets Omanis who wish to establish SMEs and startups. To join the programme, one must have financing and land to establish the proposed project,” the official said.
“ASMED has set conditions for participation in the programme, including nationality (must be Omanis), have a project idea ready for implementation, and attend the full training course. Participants must also prepare a preliminary file on the project idea and pass an initial evaluation to participate in the programme.”
