Muscat – Oman has condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Egyptian Armed Forces west of Sinai in Egypt on Saturday.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry said, ‘The ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s solidarity with the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and its support for the measures it is taking to maintain its security and stability. The terrorist attack targeted one of the water pumping stations which is located west of Sinai. It resulted in the death and injury of a number of members of the Egyptian Armed Forces.’

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Egypt, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
