Muscat – Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and 14 institutions from the travel and tourism sector, will participate in Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, from May 9 to 12.
This year, Oman will unveil a new pavilion and launch the Oman Tourism Forum at ATM.
H E Azzan bin Qassim al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Tourism, will lead the sultanate’s delegation at the exhibition.
The international tourism exhibition, which is the largest of its kind in the Middle East, will witness presentations, meetings and bilateral agreements between visitors, participants and representatives of major international travel and tourism companies. Participants will present the latest developments in the global tourism industry, including products, services, packages, business and investment opportunities, which is expected to exceed AED91bn.
Haitham bin Mohammed al Ghassani, director general of tourism promotion in the ministry, said, “Participation in this year’s edition of ATM will be marked by the launch of the first edition of Oman Tourism Forum and the new design of Oman’s pavilion.”
The pavilion reflects the distinct Omani architectural identity and embodies the characters of authenticity and hospitality, Ghassani added.
In addition to a tourist information centre, the pavilion includes a bedouin tent, in which hospitality will be offered to visitors, besides providing tourist information and promotional leaflets.
The four-day event will welcome more than 20,000 visitors.
