Muscat – The Association for Children with Disabilities will organise the sixth edition of Unity Charity Exhibition from March 24 to 26 at Fraser Suites Muscat.

H H Sayyida Hujaija Jaifer al Said, chairman of the association, informed that the exhibition wasn’t held for two years due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The three-day exhibition – 10am to 10pm daily – aims to raise funds to support children with disabilities for the association and women entrepreneurs running small and medium enterprises that have been affected during the pandemic. A total of 120 female entrepreneurs will take part in the exhibition.

The Unity Charity Exhibition will include multiple pavilions selling a wide variety of products.

Proceeds from the exhibition – rent for space let out to SMEs and entry fee of RO1 from visitors – will go to the association, while the SMEs will be entitled to their sales collection, H H Sayyida Hujaija informed.

The association has about 450 children – aged five to 14 – in nine centres in the wilayats of Seeb, Barka, Musannah, Azaiba, Quriyat, Jalan Bani Bu Hasan, Dhank, Yanqul and Saham.

The association is currently working on a continuous income source to fund its activities.

“The association has played an active role in building awareness among various groups of society, private sector entities and institutions on human values and the need to donate and provide voluntary financial support to children with disabilities since its establishment in 1991,” H H Sayyida Hujaija said.
