Muscat – The fifth edition of Al Bashayer Annual Festival for Arabian Camel Racing concluded on Saturday. Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, presided over the concluding ceremony in the presence of Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
The six-day event was held at Al Bashayer racecourse in Adam, Dakhliyah governorate. The race, which began on February 28, included 74 rounds with prizes for the winners ranging from cars (25 in all), a golden sword, a silver sword and cash prizes.
