30 Jan 2022 By

Muscat – Implementing Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to speed up the execution of employment initiatives, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) announced the availability of 540 new positions in private sector establishments on Sunday.

A statement issued by the ministry disclosed the creation of 540 job opportunities in various private sector institutions, including 150 jobs for holders of university and higher qualifications, 96 jobs for those holding post-secondary diploma, and 294 jobs for those holding General Education Diploma.

This initiative aims to support private sector institutions and urge them to employ the national workforce.

MoL will continue to direct Omani competencies to the labour market. The initiative will also subsidise wages of these employees for a period of two years to the tune of RO200, provided that the employer bears the difference and employment is at least for a period equal to the period of government support, a ministry statement said.

This is the fourth announcement of job opportunities offered in private sector establishments that have registered to benefit from the wage subsidy initiative.
