Women lawyers honoured on Omani Women’s Day

The Women’s Committee of the Lawyers Association organised a celebration on October 31, on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day – a time to celebrate the continuation of the interest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the interest of the Honourable Lady in shedding light on the contributions and achievements of women in serving their country and society through the vision of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said (may God rest his soul) on the role of Omani women.

The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Dr Badriya Ibrahim al Shehiyah, vice president of the State Council, in the presence of the head of the Women’s Committee attorney, Reem Noor al Zadjali, and a number of women lawyers – members of the Lawyers Association, a press release said.

The celebration included honouring a number of female lawyers, including members of the Association’s Women’s Committee, Attorney Lina Saeed al Kindi, Fatima Mubarak al Sabahiya, and Roaa Saud al Harithiya. The ‘distinguished lawyer under training for the year 2021’ title was given to Latifa Ali al Kalbania while lawyer Laila al Mujainiya was also honoured for her work. The ‘legal personality for the year 2021’ title was given to Fathiya Saeed al Habsi from the Public Prosecution.
