CMA, MSX ask companies to disclose cyclone damages

Muscat – The Capital Market Authority (CMA) and Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) have asked the exchange-listed companies and investment funds to urgently disclose the damages and loss caused by the Cyclone Shaheen.

“Please be informed that SAOG firms and investment funds that suffered any damages due to the Cyclone Shaheen need to urgently disclose those damages and their impacts on the company’s performance and financial position,” the CMA said in a circular.

The MSX also urged all the listed firms to disclose the estimated losses due to damages caused by the cyclone.

Both the CMA and MSX said the companies through thier disclosures should also disclose their insurance coverages for such damages due to the cyclone.
