The second round of the political consultations between the sultanate and Norway was held on Monday via video conferencing.

The session was chaired from the Omani side by H E Sheikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, while Vebjorn Dysvik, director general of Department for Regional Affairs, chaired the Norwegian side.

The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations as they stressed their keenness to continue promoting them in various spheres. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

The session was attended by H E Yousef Said al Amri, sultanate’s non-resident Ambassador to Norway, H E Oyvind Stokke, Norwegian non-resident Ambassador to Oman, and a number of officials in the foreign ministries of the two countries.
