Oman to impose night movement ban from Sunday

The Supreme Committee responsible for COVID-19 has announced a night movement ban for vehicles and individuals starting from 8pm to 5am from Sunday, March 28 to Thursday, April 8.

According to the decision all commercial activities, movement of individuals and vehicles will be prohibited during that time.

Also, the decision to allow students to continue classes in public schools by means of distance education has been extended until Thursday, April 8. Grade 12 students will continue with blended education.

The Supreme Committee said that experts feel the period from April 1 to May 31 in Oman is a very critical period. “In order to avoid the worst, the Supreme Committee will take a series of more measures that may reach total lockdown and during the mentioned period,” the statement said.
