Talented individuals with disabilities can compete for various awards, with a total prize pool of over SAR250,000.

Oman’s Ministry of Social Development is dedicated to empowering and caring for persons with disabilities. Its efforts include providing care programmes and social services through the Vocational Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre.

The centre offers vocational opportunities and rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities. Fifty-eight participants – 31 male and 27 female – benefitted from its programmes till the end of 2021.

Additionally, the Al Aman Rehabilitation Centre offers social, health, rehabilitative, psychological, and therapeutic services to its members. The center had 315 children – 204 boys and 111 girls – enrolled till the end of 2021.

The ministry funds special rehabilitation centres that cater to persons with disabilities. In 2021, these centres served 1,498 members – 1,077 male and 421 female.
