Muscat – The 2026 edition of the Muscat Nights festival has officially drawn to a close, marking a significant success for the capital’s tourism and community sectors. Organisers confirmed that Amerat Park, the primary venue for the festivities, attracted more than 400,000 visitors throughout the event. This year’s turnout represents a notable increase compared to previous years, with daily attendance figures reaching peaks of between 22,000 and 27,000 during weekend periods.

The festival featured an expanded programme designed to appeal to all age groups, including interactive games, theatrical performances, and various sporting and artistic competitions. A key focus of the 2026 event was the support of local enterprises; over 50 small and medium-sized businesses, alongside productive families, were provided with dedicated spaces to showcase their products. This initiative significantly boosted local branding and provided direct marketing channels to a large audience, particularly within the Heritage Village and the craftsmen’s market.

Reflecting on the event’s economic impact, officials noted strong sales across the food and traditional handicraft sectors. Looking ahead, the organising committee has expressed its commitment to further enhancing the festival’s quality by incorporating modern technologies and more diverse interactive experiences for future editions.
