Muscat – Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has issued an urgent advisory regarding Bandar Al Khairan, officially designating it as an environmental tourism zone in accordance with Royal Decree No. (45/2007).

This declaration entrusts the Ministry with the management and administration of the specified area, including the establishment of facilities strictly aligned with approved environmental standards. Crucially, the advisory reinforces the absolute prohibition of establishing any economic or tourism-related projects, or any other type of project, within the defined boundaries of the zone.

This strict measure is enforced to safeguard the ecological integrity and natural beauty of Khairan, ensuring its sustainable preservation as a key environmental tourist destination.
