MTCIT announces winners of ‘Hackathon 2025’

Muscat – The three-day service challenge Hackathon 2025, an initiative by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) aimed at engaging young minds to innovate practical digital solutions for enhancing government services and driving digital transformation.

The awards ceremony, which took place at the Youth Centre under the patronage of H E Dr. Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of MTCIT for Communications and Information Technology saw 58 participants across 12 teams vie for top honours.

Team “Goov Sense” clinched the first prize for its AI-driven government model, which is designed to predict user needs and automate services via a unified digital wallet and secure e-authorisation. Second place was awarded to team “Istibaq” for their Digital Twin concept, which relies on efficient, secure, and priority-based data analysis. Meanwhile, “Qanoon Tech” secured third place with its smart legal assistant, developed to simplify and clarify laws for users.

This GovThon is a key part of the MTCIT’s efforts to promote innovation, empower national competencies, and build a competitive digital economy with sustainable smart government services.
