Oman-India: 70 Years of Ties, New Agreements Ahead

Muscat – Oman and India are set to strengthen their long-standing strategic alliance following a telephone conversation between H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and his Indian counterpart, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The senior diplomats discussed matters of mutual interest, focusing on the burgeoning bilateral cooperation that marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two friendly nations.

The Ministers highlighted a shared commitment to finalise further agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in the near future to maximise mutual benefits and common interests. Their discussions also covered efforts to boost commercial trade and investment exchange, alongside coordinating security and humanitarian cooperation within the region.
