Muscat – H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, will preside over the laying of the foundation stone for two major projects in Muscat on Monday – the Jood project in Sultan Haitham City and the beachfront Yamal City in Al Manuma. The move highlights Oman’s growing appeal as a regional hub for urban investment.
The projects reinforce efforts to expand international partnerships and attract global investors to Oman’s real estate sector. They follow the development agreement signed in May during the Oman Real Estate Conference and Exhibition and Design and Construction Week, with a combined investment exceeding RO1.7bn.

Jood spans 2.7mn sqm and will offer a sustainable, smart community featuring over 7,000 residential units along with green spaces, commercial, medical, educational, recreational, and sports facilities. Yamal City covers 2.2mn sqm with 1,760m of Sea of Oman frontage, providing a world-class marina, international hotels, water sports, and more than 6,000 residential and hotel units overlooking the sea and marina.
On Tuesday, Talaat Moustafa Group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, will launch sales for both projects, offering integrated residential and tourist communities designed to meet international standards and strengthen Oman’s position as a destination for large-scale urban investments.
