Muscat – International tourists to Oman grew 7% between September 2024 and August 2025, according to new data from ForwardKeys, the global travel analytics firm.
The report shows a marked rise in arrivals from Europe in the first half of 2025, led by the Italian, Spanish and Dutch markets, each recording growth of more than 44%. Arrivals from Switzerland rose 35% in the same period.
ForwardKeys’ figures indicate that Gulf travellers accounted for 40% of all incoming traffic. Within the GCC, Bahrain recorded growth of 30% and Qatar 8%. The Singapore market also posted an increase of more than 34% in the first half of the year.
The company reported a 43% rise in global search activity for trips to Oman between September and November 2025, signalling continued interest in the destination.
International air-traffic capacity to Oman is also expanding. Between September 2024 and February 2025, capacity from Italy rose 31%, from the UK 24%, from Russia 253%, from Switzerland 83%, and from Malaysia 56%.
ForwardKeys noted that Oman’s tourism sector continues to show steady growth, supported by demand from Europe and Asia. It said rising search indicators point to strong future potential and that the uptrend in European markets reflects Oman’s success in positioning itself for luxury and cultural tourism, strengthening its appeal as an ideal travel destination.
