Suwaiq – Maritime Security Centre (MSC) has activated a comprehensive search and rescue (SAR) operation following the confirmed loss of an Omani fishing boat carrying three citizens.

The incident occurred in the waters north of Suwaiq , which is situated within the North Batinah Governorate.

A formal report concerning the missing vessel and its crew was received by the relevant authorities. In immediate response, the MSC has launched a full-scale operation to locate the boat and its occupants. The search and rescue effort is being conducted in close coordination and collaboration with all concerned governmental bodies to maximise the chances of a swift and successful outcome.
