Muscat – H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, affirmed that Omani Youth Day, celebrated annually on October 26, represents a renewed confidence in the country’s young generation and their role in national development.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, H H Sayyid Theyazin expressed pride in the dedication and loyalty demonstrated by Omani youth, noting their growing sense of awareness and responsibility toward the nation’s future.
He said the commemoration each year reflects not only the passing of time, but also a deep sense of belonging and commitment to the values of Oman. The day, he added, reinforces the continuity between the country’s proud past, its achievements in the present, and the aspirations it holds for the future.
H H Sayyid Theyazin stressed that under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Oman firmly believes its youth represent the foundation of the Renewed Renaissance. He highlighted national programmes and initiatives designed to encourage creativity and innovation, enabling young people to contribute as key partners in shaping the country’s development.
Omani youth, he said, have proven their capability across various fields including science, technology, arts, sports, and volunteerism, raising the nation’s profile both at home and abroad. Their efforts, he noted, inspire hope and demonstrate the continuity of progress rooted in responsibility and ambition.
H H Sayyid Theyazin called on young Omanis to maintain steady commitment, pursue excellence, and continue elevating the sultanate’s reputation globally. The ideas, innovation, and achievements they advance today, he said, will fuel the nation’s future.
He concluded by reaffirming the government’s belief in the youth and its confidence in their ability to guide Oman toward a more prosperous and innovative tomorrow, driven by determination, values, and passion.
