As part of its efforts to develop the logistics sector and strengthen its role as a key driver of economic growth and diversification of national income sources, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), represented by the Oman Logistics Centre and in cooperation with the Oman Logistics Association, has announced the launch of the third edition of the Best Practices Award in the Logistics Sector for 2026.
The award aims to enhance the sector’s efficiency and competitiveness at both regional and global levels, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 to position the sultanate as a global logistics hub through infrastructure development and the adoption of best modern practices in this vital field.
The award seeks to honour the best practices and innovative projects across all logistics activities implemented during the past twelve months, to promote positive competition and encourage innovation and excellence in this vital sector.
It covers various logistics activities such as warehousing and storage, shipping and vessel agents, air, sea and land transport, customs clearance, ports and free zones, ground handling, and freight forwarding.
The award includes five main categories:
An independent judging panel of specialists and experts from the logistics sector will evaluate the submissions to ensure transparency and credibility in selecting the winners.
