Salalah – The Dhofar Race 2025 was held today in Dhofar governorate. The event is organised by the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) with the participation of its brigades, formations and units under the patronage of Major General Mattar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO).

The Major General, the sponsor of the event, listened to a briefing on the race route, after which he gave the starting signal to announce the start of the race, which started from the Razat camp and ended at the Sahalnout camp for a distance of (21) km. During the course of the race, the Royal Army of Oman’s music band presented various musical performances.

At the end of the race, the Major General, the sponsor of the event, distributed cups, shields and prizes to the winners. The results were as follows: At the officers’ level, First Lieutenant Omar bin Mubarak al Alawi from the Border Guards Brigade won first place. At the individual level, Corporal Rashid bin Salim al Shaibi from the Border Guards Brigade won first place. At the overall level of the race, the Border Guards Brigade won first place, while the Sultan of Oman Armored Vehicles came in second place, and the 23rd Infantry Brigade won third place.
