Muscat – Muscat Municipality has introduced modern public restrooms at several key locations across the capital while announcing a ban on the random parking of trucks in residential neighbourhoods.

The units have been set up at Sur al Hadid Walkway, near Seeb Souq and in Bausher on Al Maha Street, both part of street vendors projects, at Qurum Beach near Grand Hyatt, and two projects on Dama Street close to Sayyida Fatma bint Ali al Said Mosque, and another near The Village.

Each unit includes two restrooms for women, two for men and one designed for people with disabilities, ensuring accessibility for all.

A municipal official said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to provide high-quality services and improve convenience for residents and visitors. “The project enhances Muscat’s image as a clean and welcoming city. We urge the public to use these facilities responsibly and help maintain them,” the official stated.

Additionally, the municipality has warned against random parking of trucks in residential areas, citing inconvenience to residents and negative impact on the city’s appearance. The official stressed that designated parking has been allocated for trucks to ensure public safety and preserve Muscat’s urban character.
