Muscat– The Royal Navy of Oman’s (RNO) vessel Shabab Oman II has been awarded the Ambassadors of the Sea Award during the crew parade at the Amsterdam Sailing Festival 2025, currently taking place in the Kingdom of the Netherlands until Sunday.

The accolade recognises the crew’s outstanding military discipline, alongside their vibrant presentation of Omani heritage through traditional dress and folk music. Their performance captivated the audience and offered a vivid portrayal of Oman’s cultural depth and authenticity.

Adding to the occasion, Princess Laurentien of the Dutch Royal Family visited Shabab Oman II while it was docked at the Port of Amsterdam.
