Muscat – The moon sighting committee of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) announced the sighting of the moon of Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH on Tuesday. Hence, Wednesday, May 28, will be Dhul Hijjah 1, and Friday, June 6, will be the first day of Eid al Adha.

On the occasion, MERA congratulated and greeted His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, praying to the Almighty Allah for his good health, happiness and a long life, and progress and prosperity for the Omani people and all Muslim countries.
