Muscat – Cumulus cloud activity continues to dominate the skies over the mountainous areas of Buraimi, Dhahirah, and South Batinah governorates, bringing with it scattered rain showers, some of which have turned to thunder, accompanied by strong winds.

The Oman Meteorology Department has advised residents and travellers to take precautionary measures, particularly in exposed and elevated locations, as unstable weather conditions are expected to persist over the coming hours.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution due to reduced visibility and slippery road surfaces, while those residing near wadis should remain vigilant for potential flash flooding.
