Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has voiced its deep concern over the recent military escalation in Yemen, highlighting its humanitarian repercussions and the rising number of civilian casualties.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Oman expressed regret over the continuation of military operations, warning that they exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people and contribute to further instability in the region.

Reaffirming its firm stance in favour of peaceful solutions, the Sultanate stressed the importance of dialogue and negotiation in resolving the crisis. It also cautioned against the repercussions of a prolonged military approach on regional security and stability.

Oman called for addressing the root causes of the crisis through sustainable political solutions that ensure peace, stability, and development for all people in the region. The statement urged all involved parties to assume their responsibilities in maintaining calm and preventing further escalation.
