Muscat – Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) has signed a contract with Salam Air to supply jet fuel to the sultanate’s low-cost carrier for two years.

‘After further negotiations on certain commercial terms, the company and Salam Air have signed a contract for OOMCO to supply jet fuel at Muscat International Airport and Sohar International Airport with 100% uplifted volume on July 23, 2023,’ OOMCO said on Monday in a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange.

As per the company’s disclosure, the contract will be effective for two years from April 1, 2023 until March 31, 2025.

OOMCO said that the contract award by Salam Air ‘reinforces its leadership in the fuel marketing sector across the sultanate in all kinds’.

‘We are pleased to extend our gratitude to Salam Air for the confidence vested in OOMCO. We affirm our constant support and continuity of our cooperation to contribute to supporting the growth and development of the aviation sector in the sultanate,’ the company added.

Earlier in February, the sultanate’s national carrier Oman Air also awarded a contract to OOMCO for supplying Oman Air with jet fuel at Muscat International Airport and Sohar International Airport, with a sales volume of 33% of Oman Air’s required supply for a period of two years.
