Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a person for fraud and promoting counterfeit currency on Sunday.

In a statement issued by ROP said, ‘The Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation arrested an expatriate of Arab nationality on charges of fraud and promoting counterfeit currency through his dealings with the owners of shops selling jewellery and valuables.’

It added that legal procedures have been completed against them.
