Muscat – Beaches in Dahariz in the wilayat of Salalah are free of any pollution following an oil spill that was reported a few days back, the Environment Authority (EA) has stated.

In a statement, EA said that the Pollution Operations Centre, in coordination with Dhofar Municipality and Royal Oman Police, took necessary measures to clean the oil spill from the beaches in Dahariz in a three-day clean-up operation. ‘The area is now free of any pollution.’

The authority calls on all to cooperate and report any environmental pollution that may occur in the future and to report violations through its hotlines – 80071999 or 24693666.
