Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik conferred Order of Royal Commendation ‘Second Class’ on a number of citizens in appreciation of their outstanding contribution in several fields.

The medals were handed over by Sayyid Khalid Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.

The recipients of the medals are:

Sheikh Hamoud Humaid Hamad al Sawafi in the field of community initiatives and social responsibility. The medal was received on his behalf by his son Ahmed Hamoud Humaid al Sawafi.

Mariam Issa Mohammed al Zadjali in the field of community initiatives and social responsibility.

Prof Abdullah Hamad Suwaid al Badi in the field of research, innovation and the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).

Prof Sameer Hamad Nasser al Adawi in the field of research, innovation and the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).

Sheikh Mohammed Saud Salim al Mukhaini in the field of community initiatives and social responsibility.

Shawqi Abdul Ridha Sultan in the field of digital economy and entrepreneurship.

Dr Salim Sultan Salim al Ruzaiqi in the field of digital economy and entrepreneurship.

Majid Fael Salim al Amri in the field of digital economy and entrepreneurship.

Adnan Ahmed Hamad al Shuaili in the field of digital economy and entrepreneurship.

Dr Saif Salim Saif Salim Saif al Abri in the health field.

Dr Ali Mahad Musallam al Ma’ashani in the health field.

Sumaia Said Sulaiman al Siabi in the field of environment and natural resources.

Sayyid Busaidi congratulated the honourees, noting that the conferment of the medals constitutes His Majesty the Sultan’s appreciation for the efforts they made in their respective fields. The Royal gesture also constitutes a motive for more accomplishments, he added. The minister wished those honoured success in their efforts and endeavours that stem from their social responsibility to serve this country and its beloved leader.
