Pluralsight is an online training platform that includes various up-to-date technical courses in information technology, software development and data management. It aims to support and equip Omani youth with technical skills and knowledge that empower them to improve job related skills and become leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators.

Some of the learning pathways that Pluralsight covers include Microsoft Office, basic software development, programming fundamentals, networking fundamentals, IOT, agile project management, machine learning python, design basics, network security, digital tools and other 7000 online training courses. It targets all school students of both genders, aged 16 years and above, university and college students, professionals as well as those interested in technical fields.

What makes Pluralsight standout from other training platforms is that its courses are given by more than 1,500 experts in the field of technology from all around the world. Participants can assess their abilities through Skill IQ to identify knowledge gaps and strengths. The results will provide a start within a learning pathway and save time on what has been established. In addition to many more features on the platform, participants receive a year licence and can apply for certificates of attendance.

To register, interested applicants can visit the Center of Excellence’s website https://coe.ipm.om and then select Digital Skills Program in which Pluralsight is available for registration. Applicants can then fill out a form and select the learning pathway of their interest. An activation email will be sent to the user account to start the learning pathway.

The Center of Excellence for Advanced Telecommunications Technology and IoT is one of the offset projects from Ministry of Finance currently conducted at Innovation Park Muscat as a joint partnership between Ericsson, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and Omantel. The center acts as a research center for developing 5G use cases and IoT use cases as Proof of Concept before deployments in commercial networks. It supports small and medium enterprises as well as start-ups moving towards next-generation network evolution by incubating their ideas and concepts into reality.
