Muscat – The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the National Risk Register, has officially launched the National Enterprise Risk Management Governance Framework.
This framework serves as a unified national reference that defines the governing principles, foundations, and requirements for institutional risk management across the Sultanate.
By establishing clear guidelines, the initiative aims to enhance the ability of government entities to foresee potential threats, prepare for future challenges, and deal with risks in an organised and effective manner.
The concept of risk management in Oman stems from a long-term strategic vision designed to protect the country, safeguard its economy, and maintain essential services.
Developed by a specialised team of experts, the framework aligns with modern international practices to ensure public safety, strengthen national security, and build a resilient society capable of adapting to future emergencies.
