Muscat- The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion on Sunday signed a cooperation programme under the Industrial Change Leaders Initiative to strengthen the capabilities of national leaders and talent in Oman’s industrial sector.

The programme aims to develop skills in strategic analysis, policy-making, performance governance and change leadership, supporting efforts to improve institutional performance and advance the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

It targets leaders, administrative personnel and technical specialists at the Ministry and entities linked to the industrial sector.

The applied programme comprises five in-person training days over one month, combining work-based learning, coaching, field analysis and a policy lab.

Participants will work on real-world institutional and industrial challenges, with a focus on turning knowledge, data and analysis into practical solutions.

Key areas include administrative diagnosis, organisational restructuring, change management, performance governance, developing smart performance indicators, designing leadership dashboards and policy-making.

The programme will culminate in executive projects and practical solutions addressing real-world challenges, allowing participants to apply the skills and tools gained during the training.

The initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to develop national leadership capabilities capable of leading change, translating data and analysis into policies and practical solutions, and enhancing institutional efficiency.

It also supports efforts to strengthen Oman’s industrial sector and its contribution to the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
