Muscat – The second edition of Oman Climate Week 2026 will be held from September 14 to 16, bringing together climate experts, policymakers, businesses and other stakeholders from more than 50 countries to strengthen climate action and accelerate practical solutions for sustainability.

Organised by the Environment Authority, the three-day event will address key national and regional priorities related to climate action and environmental sustainability. It is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors and feature over 100 exhibitors and speakers from various sectors.

Oman Climate Week will provide a platform for government institutions, the private sector, research organisations and civil society to discuss challenges and opportunities linked to the transition to a low-carbon economy and support national efforts to achieve net-zero emissions.

The programme is aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and the sultanate’s international commitments under the Paris Agreement.

The event will feature panel discussions involving chief executives and decision-makers, alongside workshops and training programmes aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, building capacity and supporting the implementation of climate solutions.

It will also include the signing of a number of agreements, the launch of a youth-focused hackathon and a specialised exhibition showcasing climate solutions. The exhibition will highlight the latest technologies and services in the energy, water, industrial and environmental sectors, as well as solutions related to sustainability, climate transition and environmental finance.

The event will also provide networking and partnership opportunities, including bilateral meetings between solution providers, companies, investors and government institutions.

As part of the programme, the Women and Climate Conference and Youth and Climate Conference will provide platforms to discuss cooperation, exchange expertise and showcase projects and initiatives linked to climate action.

A dedicated media platform will provide live coverage and updates on the activities of Oman Climate Week.

Several community and environmental initiatives will also accompany the event, including Green Legacy Oman, a tree-planting initiative; Plastic-Free Oman, which aims to raise environmental awareness; Rimaluna/Our Sands, focused on protecting desert ecosystems; and Sahiluna/Our Coast, which seeks to safeguard marine ecosystems.

The initiatives are intended to strengthen community participation in environmental protection and promote sustainable practices.

The second edition of Oman Climate Week reflects the sultanate’s efforts to strengthen national and international partnerships on climate action, encourage innovation and practical solutions, and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

It is expected to draw a wide range of officials, experts, specialists and climate and environmental stakeholders, together with representatives of government and private institutions, academia and civil society from Oman and abroad.
