Muscat-  His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a cable of thanks from participants in the 20th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organization and the 64th Executive Council, held in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, on September 7–8, 2026.

The cable was sent on the occasion of the conclusion of the conference, held under the theme “More Innovative and Sustainable Cities.”

The participants expressed their deepest thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for hosting the conference and for the generous hospitality and warm welcome extended to them.

They praised Oman’s role in promoting and developing cities and advancing the concept of human-centred urban development to enhance quality of life.

The participants concluded the cable by praying to Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty the Sultan as an inspiring leader and grant the Sultanate of Oman continued progress and prosperity.
