Iran – US missile attacks targeted areas near Ahvaz and Aghajari in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province, resulting in seven deaths and eight injuries across three targeted locations according to the province’s deputy governor for security affairs and Irna news agency.

Iranian reports stated that US strikes also hit a wedding party in the southern coastal city of Sirik, killing four people including a child.

In direct retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out combined missile and drone attacks on US facilities in Erbil province, northern Iraq, claiming the destruction of repair centres, warehouses, and surveillance systems alongside US casualties.

The IRGC further claimed drone and missile strikes on US-hosting military bases, including the Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait, as well as the al-Dhafra and al-Minhad bases in the United Arab Emirates.

Bahraini air defence systems intercepted and destroyed incoming Iranian drones after the Ministry of Interior issued multiple urgent alerts for residents to seek shelter, while senior IRGC officials warned Arab states to expel US forces or face further military responses.

US President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that the US maintains almost total control of the Hormuz Strait while Iran’s economy collapses.
