Muscat – Aloft by Marriott Muscat is pleased to announce the appointment of Etienne Els as General Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the lifestyle hotel as it continues to strengthen its position within Muscat’s dynamic hospitality landscape.

Etienne brings extensive hospitality leadership experience across Marriott International and other leading hospitality brands in the Middle East. His appointment marks his first role as General Manager, following a distinguished career spanning hotel operations, food and beverage, commercial performance, guest experience and talent development.

Prior to joining Aloft by Marriott Muscat, Etienne served as Hotel Manager at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa Dubai, where he played a key role in leading one of the brand’s top-performing resorts globally. During his tenure, he delivered strong results across guest satisfaction, associate engagement, operational excellence and revenue performance.

Etienne has also held senior leadership positions at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Grosvenor House Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Emaar Hospitality Group, building a strong track record of driving operational excellence while developing high-performing teams and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Known for his passion for people, guest experience and innovation, Etienne brings a collaborative and performance-driven leadership approach to Aloft by Marriott Muscat. His experience across both operational and commercial functions will support the hotel’s continued growth while further strengthening its distinctive lifestyle positioning in Muscat.

As General Manager, Etienne will oversee the overall operations and performance of Aloft Muscat, working closely with the hotel’s leadership team to further enhance guest experiences, strengthen associate engagement and drive the property’s continued success.
