Muscat – Oman won 11 awards in the fourth season of the Gulf Smart Investor Award, organised by the regulatory authorities of the stock markets in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The awards were presented at ceremony held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.

The fourth season attracted wide participation, with more than 300,000 entries from across the GCC. The competition featured four main themes – writing, photography, drawing and video production – targeting three categories: school students, university students and individuals.

Omani participants achieved notable results across the different themes and categories.

In writing, Oman secured four awards. Rawdh Al Farsi won first place in the school category, while Duha Al Maani took third place in the university category. Sarah Al Kalbani won first place in the individual category, followed by Sajia Al Ismaili in second place.

In photography, Tasneem Al Sabahi won first place and Al Yaqeen Al Sulaimi secured third place in the school category. Mawadda Al Salmani won first place in the university category, while Alia Al Abri took first place in the individual category.

In drawing, Maria Al Sudairi won first place in the university category.

In video production, Salem Al Yaqubi secured first place, while Zaha Al Masoudi won fourth place in the school category.

The Gulf Smart Investor Award is part of GCC initiatives aimed at promoting financial and investment awareness and literacy. It seeks to encourage young talents and creative individuals to produce innovative works and content that simplify financial and investment concepts and promote awareness of sound investment practices.

Oman’s strong performance in the fourth season reflects the creativity and excellence of Omani talent and their growing presence in Gulf initiatives aimed at strengthening financial and investment literacy among different segments of society.
