Salalah – A RO3mn Ferris wheel overlooking Al Hafa Beach has added a new recreational attraction to Salalah’s tourism offering, giving visitors panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, the city, plains and mountains from a height of 55m.
Launched this khareef, Ain Salalah features 30 enclosed, air-conditioned cabins, each accommodating six people. A full rotation takes between 12 and 15 minutes and offers a 360°
view of the coastline and surrounding landscape.
Khalid bin Hamad Al Mahrouqi, Executive Director of Ain Salalah, said the project was designed to take advantage of the natural and climatic features of Dhofar while adding a new entertainment experience.
“The location on Al Hafa Beach allows visitors to combine the recreational experience with a coastal view in one place,” Al Mahrouqi said.
He added that the project represents a partnership between local investors and companies with international expertise, helping bring modern tourism concepts to the governorate.

Ticket prices start at RO5 per person, with family discounts and private cabin bookings available. People with disabilities are exempt from ticket charges, with dedicated cabins designed to improve accessibility.
The experience changes through the day, with daytime views extending across the sea, city and mountains, while evening rides overlook Salalah’s waterfront and lights.
Ain Salalah is part of efforts to diversify Dhofar’s tourism offering beyond its beaches, natural attractions, markets and heritage sites, while encouraging investment in year-round visitor experiences.
