Muscat – Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a series of weather alerts and advisories for Thursday, August 20, detailing expected meteorological conditions across various regions of the Sultanate.

High-intensity thunderstorms are forecast to begin at 12:00 PM over parts of the Eastern Hajar Mountains, while moderate thunderstorms and moderate downburst winds are expected at the same time across other parts of the Hajar Mountains and neighbouring areas.

Additionally, brisk winds are expected starting at 8:00 AM in Al Jazir, Duqm, Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, Sadah, Shaleem and the Hallaniyat Islands, Mahut, and Masirah.

Furthermore, limited thunderstorms are anticipated in the deserts of Dakhliyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar starting at 6:00 AM, alongside rain starting at 8:00 AM in Rakhout, Salalah, Dhalkut, Taqah, and Mirbat.
