UAE – United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially imposed an indefinite trade embargo on Iran, suspending all commercial exchanges, trade operations, and financial transactions until further notice.

This major economic decision was announced by the UAE Foreign Ministry following an escalation in regional tensions, specifically after the UAE Ministry of Defence detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran targeting maritime navigation.

According to authorities, one of the missiles landed within Emirati territorial waters while the other fell outside them, prompting emergency alerts. In response to what Abu Dhabi described as actions undermining regional and international peace and security, the sweeping commercial freeze was enacted.

Meanwhile, Tehran has rejected the allegations regarding the missile launch, with Iranian officials denying responsibility for the attack. Despite the denial, the UAE remains firm on protecting its national security and maintaining global financial standards, leaving the strict trade suspension active indefinitely as diplomatic strains deepen.
